Well life certainly is a rollercoaster, I'm just going to have a winge...... My head is spinning with getting things ready for my book launch in 3 weeks, so many things bombarding me at once. Yesterday I finally joined our local Rockingham Writers Centre, and it was lovely to meet a handful of friendly ladies and I ask lots of questions, and they were very complimentry about my book, one of the ladies actually bought a copy yay! and I went and had a coffee with one of the ladies after. The afternoon was where things went to shit. My publisher sent me my Press Release which was fabulous but it needed a bit of a tweak, 2 changes of the word jewellery spelt the American way, and the way their reply form was set out I had to reply in boxes on the form but my computer would not allow me to do that, nor could I copy and past into a word document, so, I tried to print out to fill in by hand then scan to resend, but noooo it was saying there was an error and to check ink grrrrrrr couldn't get a thing done. In the mean time I had enquired about a children's book festival a couple of hours drive away and was waiting for some answers to some questions also I was trying to source some accomodation for 2 nights either side of the festival, but the whole town was practically booked out and I was strugling to book into an old pub who's site wasn't being cooperative. I'd also sent some emails that I was frantically waiting for replies on. So I threw my hands up and called it a day!!!! I started today (Fri) off with our weekly coffee group catch up then back to try and sort out my printer, I took my ink cartridges to my supplier and he checked and said they were still full as they hadn't been bought very long ago, back in the printer and of course still not working so it'll be a message to my IT bloke as he came and dealt with all of this only a few weeks ago...... So here I sit with another cup of tea, heat packs on my back and shoulder still trying to find accomodation for the book festival but I think it's time to call it quits for the day, otherwise I might throw laptop/printer/or phone across the room!!!!! grrrrrr Well now its Saturday, and still my head was swimming with trying to sort out stuff, my lone braincell Barry was stuggling, so I took a step back and decided to not go to the Book Fair as it was getting way to difficult, still haven't heard back from them. So I think its time to push the Post button then go and put the kettle on for a cuppa.
